New Regional Project just completed

Bildspec Operable Walls recently completed another successful project for Telstra’s Head Office refurbishment in Bourke, NSW.

Our Series 100 operable walls (click for more information) were successfully employed to divide a large space into a 14-seat boardroom as well as a separate lunch room. High-quality moveable walls with strong acoustic reduction properties have been used to maintain a quiet and confidential board room environment while noisy lunches take place right next door at the same time. Furthermore, when not required, these walls stack out of the way and transform the space into a large multi-use area suitable for larger meetings, gatherings and functions.

To provide Telstra with an easy to use experience in opening and closing their operable walls, the acoustic walls were configured to stack away to the side of the opening using a combination of our premium No1 track and Curves. Furthermore, these moveable acoustic walls incorporate two expander panels along with an “L” inset door to provide access into the boardroom while the wall is in place.

An aesthetically pleasing result was achieved by finishing the walls in attractive 9mm-thick Woven Image Muse Fluid – colour: 548 (Golden Eye). This fabric looks great but also complies with ISO 354-2006 and has an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) value of 0.30 – these properties ensure adequate absorption of sound to achieve the sound ratings that were required by Telstra.
